CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal Surpasses 5 Million TEU Milestone

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Chinese-operated CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal at Khalifa Port has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing the 5 million TEU mark since its opening in December 2018. The terminal’s rapid growth is attributed to the addition of six new international services this year, boosting overall volumes by 35%.

A Texas lighting company has filed a complaint with the Federal Maritime Commission seeking up to $2 million in relief from detention and demurrage (D&D) charges by COSCO Shipping. The company, Visual Comfort & Co. (VCC), alleges COSCO unfairly imposed the charges during congestion at ports in 2021-2022 instead of diverting shipments.
